DJ Jeff is worth his weight in gold! All we were expecting was good music, but Jeff went so far above and beyond. Right from our very first meeting, Jeff made us feel less stress knowing that he was involved in making our wedding perfect. He is through and through a professional and treats his clients not as customers, but as friends. Jeff’s biggest contribution to the wedding ceremony and reception was, in my opinion, keeping the flow of the event. He made sure that the right people were speaking when, the right time for us to walk around and talk to our guests and when it was okay for us to escape the crowds and allow the excitement and impact of the day sink in. We could not have had such a spectacular wedding without him, period.
Even a month later, we still have people raving about our wedding because Jeff delivered as promised, that our guest leaving saying “that was the best wedding ever!”. My favorite piece of feedback was from my brother. This was his first wedding he attended and in his words, “every other wedding is going to suck now.” All of our guests were entertained and engaged for the whole night, we just left all of that in Jeff’s control, and it was worth it. We shared many laughs, a few happy tears, and memories that will never be forgotten. Thank you Jeff, we can never thank you enough.
Months later, our guests are still raving about the fantastic time they had at our wedding.
For us, the party was one of the most important aspects of the reception, so we wanted to be certain to hire someone who knew how to keep everyone of all ages entertained throughout the night, to keep the dance floor full, and Jeff did just that. It was seamless to the guests, but we could tell that Jeff had his finger on the pulse of the dance floor, and he knew exactly how to keep the energy up – the party was going right from the beginning of the night until the very end.
Not only did Jeff ensure that everyone had a great time, but his behind the scenes work with our MC, and the reception venue staff was invaluable to our overall experience. He worked so well with them to coordinate all the details that you don’t normally think of, to make sure that everything went smoothly!
And of course we have to mention all the days leading up to the wedding as well… Jeff replied so promptly and professionally to all correspondence. Also, with us not being in Kelowna until the week before, he was willing to meet with us months before to go over the details and planning, so that we felt at ease and organized. \We honestly could not ask for anything more and we cannot express our gratitude enough for making the evening so amazing. Hire DJ Haymaker! Best decision we ever made!
Out of all the decisions we had to make for our special day, choosing Jeff as our DJ gave us our biggest return on investment and it gave us our greatest piece of mind.
The information he collected from us before the wedding made it seem like he knew us, our wedding party, and our family for years. He has been through so many weddings, so getting his advice for the ceremony and reception was beneficial.
Jeff’s attention to detail and ability to read the audience kept the party going at a great pace. The games we played involved everyone and it helped strangers mingle.
One detail we enjoyed was Jeff making us sneak away after dinner for a 10 minute breather to relax and reflect on what has happened so far that day. It really helped us slow down and remember all the events of the day and enjoy it that much more.
Even though our wedding was over a month ago, our friends and family are still talking about how memorable the whole day was and how much fun they had. Most of those comments are directly connected to Jeff’s work ethic and approach to presenting a wedding as a big party and celebration of love.

We can’t thank you enough for an amazing day!!! Everyone is still raving about how great you were. A friend at work has a swollen knee from all the dancing he did that night. He said its a constant reminder of how much fun he had at our wedding!

My husband and I along with all of our guests were very impressed with the service provided by DJ Haymaker! The Survivor game was fantastic and I have had a lot of very good feedback about it (not to mention pictures from the part where the guys had to put the belts back on the other guys). It was a great game to bring everyone together and to have a few laughs! I was very impressed that unlike most DJ’s, Jeff was very involved in making our day the best it can be – from helping out our MC to helping coordinate everyone down the aisle at the ceremony to helping the groomsmen put on their “special” performance! So to sum it up – the night would not have been the same without Jeff and I think everyone who attended would agree!

I do have one question however: What on earth do people do when they don’t hire you?
I have thought about it, and I have decided that people who don’t hire you to look after all that you look after, must have boring weddings or at the very least, very fragmented weddings.
Again, thank you so very much. You are most definitely in the right business. I hope you are still very much involved with weddings when my son gets married one day. I would love to ask you to come to his wedding as well. It may be a few years from now, so don’t retire for many years.
My husband Cary and I were married at The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna, B.C. on August 10, 2012 and Jeff Hay was the ULTIMATE Wedding Entertainment Director! When we were engaged in August of 2010, we were referred to Jeff Hay from many local vendors. They all raved about his services and high energy and as soon as we receieved an email back from Jeff we knew that we were going to have a GREAT time at our wedding! He kept his positive and uplifting energy in this emails through right until the big day! There was no question about that, we had the funnest day ever! Jeff was very helpful with his wedding planning forms for the ceremony and reception and gave amazingly helpful tips along the way. When we met for lunch with Jeff to go over the details, one year before the wedding date, Cary and I could hardly wait for the day to arrive as Jeff had us grinning from ear to ear with excitement! He had us laughing and looking forward to all of the fun activities he had in store for a day that we had put so much effort into and so much work! It was so reassuring to know that he was going to match our passion and excitement and help work as a team to make wonderful memories happen!
When I met with Jeff in our Reception room before the ceremony I almost teared up when I saw him wearing a turquoise dress-shirt! It was such a thoughtful thing to do and showed he went above and beyond to notice our details and colors. He was apart of our wedding day team 100%! Jeff completed the music for our ceremony and added to beautiful ambiance and setting. He was helpful with guiding us through the timing for the walking down the isle! Everyone could hear the music and by using his lapel microphone our guests could hear our Vows! This was huge to us and we were grateful for his skills at setting everything up properly! After meeting with Jeff one time, we knew we wanted to hire him to be our Master of Ceremonies! This was one of the best decisions we made for our Wedding! Jeff’s energy and natural talents as public speaker and entertainer kept our reception lively and energetic ALL night! We went into our Reception carefree and with confidence as we knew Jeff would deliver a wonderful Party! Jeff was very helpful with planning the timeline set up for our day and lead the night with style and class. The Games and activities for our guests were so much fun and every guest had fun participating or was entertained by watching the activities! We have so many fun photos and guests have hilarious memories from the great night!
There was all smiles throughout the room all night and we have continued to hear amazing feedback from our guests. They have all be raving it was literally the best wedding they had every been to! They have exclaimed that we hired the best DJ they have ever scene. A friend commented the other day that it felt like Jeff knew us from before the wedding. This showed how much Jeff paid attention to our story and took the time to learn about us. Our goal for our wedding Reception was to have our family and friends to enjoy themselves and have a great time! Jeff helped us exceed our expectations and we are extremely grateful for the effort that Jeff exerted that went above and beyond his role as a DJ and MC. We will cherish our wedding day for always and I would recommend that anyone planning a corporate or personal event to book with Jeff Hay.
