Just wanted to pass along some feedback we are getting about the wedding.

Auntie Diane – “the best wedding reception I have ever been to”

Larry – “Definitely worth having for any kind of event. He seems to mold to the crowd”

Craig and Joy – “the guy was awesome!”

Auntie Gay – “I haven’t had that much fun in probably 20 years”.

Uncle Don and Aunt Betty – “oh Man he was good. we want to hire him for our daughters wedding.”

Dalyce – “Thank you for making sure this wedding didn’t turn into a big old family dinner. With your fun games and quick wit… you had us busting a gut laughing and partying like it was 1999.”

Mom – “One of the most enjoyable wedding experiences I’ve ever had. I’m impressed that he made a point of learning guests names in order to personalize his show to the party, made it feel like he himself was a guest too. Very nice. His games were creative and fun and he provided an atmosphere where even the most shy of people let down their hair and let loose. Amazing!”

So Jeff I am not that great with words but you were very helpful. your recommendations for the caterer proved yummy. you saved us a lot of work by being at the wedding ceremony location to do the wedding music then rippin back to my house to be there when the guests showed up for the reception. you provided the perfect kind of games that entertained all the ages 5 years to 86 years old. you made everyone feel so comfortable, some one even gave up there bra for the sake of “surviving” . the music and lighting added the perfect atmosphere for all ages to let loose and dance till they ran out of breath…. and you left out the macarena…. thank you!

Oh and thank you for not chickening out when the cops came because we were having too much fun and being too loud! however thanks for calling it quits right away when the cops called back warning us of a fine that was coming if we didn’t make you stop, cause there ain’t no such thing as having too much fun!

If you have even spoken to Jeff on the phone you get a great idea of how much enthusiasm he will bring to your celebration. He is fully involved in the process from the start and even plays the role of wedding planner with his hints and tips. He really gets involved and knew the names of many of our guests by the end of the night.

We can’t say enough about how much Jeff added to our day. He made the timing of the reception run so smoothly and it was the most fun we have had all year. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the night! My uncle said it was the most fun he has had in many years, and he is in his sixties! All of our guests said the same thing – ‘It was the most fun I have ever had at a wedding’. The games were great and Jeff is a pro at getting everybody on the dance floor because he plays such a great mix of songs. There is not a single dull moment because, as emcee, he always keeps the momentum rolling.

Of all the stupid stuff that you end up spending money on for a wedding (and believe me, especially in the last three weeks there is A LOT) booking Jeff as your DJ is worth every penny. If I had to give up on other stuff to afford him I would!

Jeff, thanks very much for an absolutely fantastic party. I heard the cops showed up after we left at 2:30!!

When we started our search for a DJ, we asked several people who they recommended, and the name that kept coming up was ‘DJ Haymaker’. Now we definitely know why.

The first time we met, he was able to get us instantly psyched for the party. He took the time to get to know us, and asked alot of questions about what our vision was for the perfect wedding, so that he could give us exactly what we wanted. He was able to recommend other vendors as well, which all helped us with organizing our big day. Jeff also had a large part in planning the timeline for the evening, and offered suggestions to keep the party flowing and smooth. He brought something to the planning that neither of us had: experience.

His services at the reception were everything would could have asked for and more. He really made the day easy and carefree, so that we could just enjoy ourselves. During our reception, he took care of problems as they arose, behind the scenes, without us ever knowing anything was wrong until after it was fixed. He really took a load off our shoulders, and seemed more than happy to do so.

We chose Jeff to be our MC after some discussion, because above all else, we could feel the energy and enthusiasm he brought to our meetings, and we could tell instantly that he would bring that to our wedding, because that’s apart of him and his personality. We wanted someone to MC that knew us, and since we connected with Jeff so easily, we felt he would be perfect, and he was.

Throughout the night, Jeff kept the crowd entertained through his many games and activities. We particularly enjoyed the way he introduced the bridal party with ‘fact fact fiction’, the trivia about us that picked the order of tables for dinner, the flag game, the times when people clinked their glasses, and most of all the survivor game (which he had everyone howling). His trunk of hats was fantastic, and created a fun atmosphere.

Jeff was such a trooper, and played the music as long as we wanted, which was until aprox 3am. I loved how the dance floor was always full. Jeff did a great job of reading the crowd, and playing music that got everyone pumped. As the crowd started to drift away, Jeff kept playing music for just my husband and I to dance to, and we slow danced until 4am as Jeff gradually started putting his equipment away. He chose to play special songs that suited the moment or had personal significance to us. It was the perfect way to end the perfect evening.

At the wedding we had 150 guests, and anyone we’ve talked to since has told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. From ages 10 to age 90, all of our guests have had nothing but positive things to say, and all of them keep mentioning the DJ. He has an amazing ability to read people and energies, and was able to keep the party flowing all night long, on and off the dance floor, for all age groups.

Jeff loves his job, loves what he does, and it really shows.

Jeff, thank you so much for your DJing and MCing. You really played a big part in making the day that much more special. If we ever have any functions in the future, you will defiantly be our guy, and we will certainly recommend you to others.

Since the moment we began planning our wedding day, Jeff was there to help with everything.

From choosing the perfect songs, to passing down tips for the ceremony, we were at ease during every moment spent planning with him.

When we first met Jeff, he was adamant that we would have the most memorable wedding and that our family and friends would be talking about it for years to come. Well, almost 7 months have passed, and we are still hearing positive comments from everyone about how fantastic our big day really was. “Your DJ was awesome! He sure rocked the place!” “That was the most fun I have ever had at a wedding.”

We have so many wonderful memories of our special day, and we owe a HUGE thank you to Jeff. You made it happen, just as you promised! We would recommend Jeff for any occasion in the future! Thank you so much for making our wedding day SPECTACULAR!!!

Jeff, I hope to cross paths with you again someday! We will forever recommend you to anyone requiring entertainment!! Everyone is still talking about how awesome you are!!

Even though the rest of the wedding went very well, there is no doubt in our minds that having DJ Haymaker there really made our wedding a party that people will be talking about until we’re old and grey. Hiring DJ Haymaker was the best choice that we made!!

My husband and I along with our two children were at Katie & Tyson’s wedding on August 7th in Vernon. My name is Becky and I am Tyson’s Aunt. You may remember my son…he was the one with the “Signature Move”…the head-stand…lol!

I just wanted to say a huge thanks for all you did that night! You made the night so enjoyable. We had such a good time and as you could see, so did my son Devin! You kept him going until 1am, and I have never seen him dance that hard before!

The dust has mostly settled, we are back to the grind! We did want to say a BIG thank you again for making our wedding what it was. Our guests had an amazing time and we owe a lot of that to you.

We know this was a unique wedding for our guests because of some of the feedback we received! For example.. Darrens Grandparents (both in their 90’s) were originally planning to head home to bed shortly after a bit of food and visiting. As the night went on, they kept saying “well.. we have to see what is coming up next!”. Darrens Grandma not only participating in Survivor.. but was runner up! They both told us it was the most fun they have had in years. My cousins Dawn & Matt told us they haven’t had a more fun night since their own wedding, 8 years ago. The dance floor was never empty, we shared so many laughs and fun times with every one of our guests, and we can’t thank you enough.

As for our own feedback.. it was so nice to not have to worry about setting up the timing at the ceremony.. we didn’t have to be directors at our own wedding. We just relaxed, had fun, and you took care of everything for us. The Newly Wed game had everyone laughing and interacting, same as Survivor, so much fun! We loved your creative ideas, proactive approach and HIGH energy throughout the day and night.

On top of all this there was such a personal touch, some guests thought you actually knew us personally. Our wedding truly was the celebration we wanted.. and honestly ended up better than we could have envisioned. Your service is not just “DJ”.. you provided us planning.. entertainment.. organization.. fun.. laughter.. amazing music.. a day and night that flowed together perfectly.. and a party that we will never forget. Thank you!!

On a side note.. you may remember my Maid Of Honor Candace.. she is now planning her wedding in the Okanagan for next year (ironically she caught my bouquet haha). Her fiance Mike knew you from before as well as you were there for his sister Lisas wedding. They are definitely hoping to work with you as well, though they haven’t yet set the date. I told them I would let you know they will be contacting you soon though. We look forward to partying with you again next summer!!

Oh what a day!

What can we say about your service throughout the planning of the wedding to the actual wedding day… AMAZING! You asked us what we wanted people to say about our wedding when it was done… “BEST WEDDING EVER!” and you accomplished that. You met and emailed us on many different occasions throughout our planning year, offering suggestions and ideas for our wedding. I felt comfortable asking you about different vendors for the day, knowing you were treating our wedding like it was your own.

When the wedding day arrived and there was a sudden change of location for our ceremony, you were there to greet the wedding party and let us know everything was under control. You had taken care of all the details, and most importantly ensured us that it would be an even better location, which it was.

The reception, you made it (well with some help from our wild friends)! We had so many comments throughout the night saying how wonderful you are and that this has been the best wedding they had ever been to. Not only was the music awesome for absolutely everyone there, but the games that you got everyone into made for such a great start to the evening. By far the “Survivor” game was the most entertaining to watch everyone get into (I can’t wait to play it at a wedding I go to). You kept the energy going all night long. We are so grateful for all your help and your amazing talent.

The only complaint I have about you Jeff is unfortunately you are a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, but Lee on the other hand loves you for that!

Thank you so much for what everyone is telling us was the BEST WEDDING EVER… and really it was!

Jeff was great to work with before the wedding, he was there to help and provide us with any help we needed, he made sure that our JP had a good sound system for the ceremony as well as the musician who was playing during the ceremony!

Jeff absolutely made our wedding the most amazing party ever! The dance floor was crowded with people the entire night…and the party could have continued long after the venue closed us down. Jeff did an amazing job of getting people involved after dinner, in the newlywed game, and the survivor game was so funny! The wedding was a blast and everyone, had an amazing time when the music started. Jeff did a great job of playing all sorts of music all throughout the night and everyone made the comment that he was the best DJ they had ever experienced at events.

Jeff was able to help us make our wedding into the event that we were attempting to achieve without any problems!

From a bridesmaid…

Hi Jeff,

So first of all, let me just say you are by far the best dj I have ever had the pleasure to be entertained by!

I was a bridesmaid for Kate and Alex’s wedding a couple weeks ago at Summerhill Winery July 30th. You were absolutely unreal and sooo much fun! I remember there was one time you accused me of not getting low enough; however, in my defense, I was clearly in no shape to be getting any lower at that point in time haha.

Anyways, I don’t know if I’m really even allowed to do this, but I figured I’d try anyways. My cousin just recently got engaged to be married in May in Red Deer, Alberta. Now I know you don’t do weddings outside of B.C., but I thought I’d try my luck and see with you being in the dj world and all, if you might have any idea/recommendations for somebody even remotely close to your dj’ing caliber from around the central Alberta area.

Anyways, just thought I’d ask and if nothing else, I got the chance to say thanks for making it such a fun night. Although what the heck is with 12:30 stop time!! Boourns!Also, you were the dj for my good friend Nicole Sailes back at the beginning of July and she said you were also the best dj she ever had!

Jason and I just got back froma long honeymoon, part of our time at my families cabin on the sunshine coast and a week in Maui!!! Soooo nice!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for everything!!!! We have been talking non stop about the wedding, just reliving all the moments, which you helped to create!! You did SO MUCH wih the limited info we provided for you!!!

Jason appreciates all the help and support you provided for him prior to the ceremony, you can’t imagine how much it meant to him!!! seriously!

DJ Haymaker was an outstanding DJ/MC and addition to our wedding. He went above and beyond standard DJ services from the first time we met with him to after the wedding was over. Jeff made us feel comfortable and at ease with his ability to understand exactly what we wanted for our special day and help guide us in the planning process. He also had some great wedding ideas to share with us that we were able to incorporate into reception.

We hired him to play the music at our ceremony, which was flawless and smooth – it was so nice not to have to worry about that aspect of our wedding – we just showed up and he was there, set up and ready to go. As Jeff was also our MC he ran our reception and kept us in the loop as the night went on, making sure we had enough time to eat and mingle with the guests. As the bride and groom we truly didn’t have to worry about anything except enjoying ourselves.

The games, especially “survivor,” that Jeff played were a huge hit with the guests – I have never seen a wedding where so many of the guests were involved, rather than sitting in their chairs waiting for the dancing to begin. As soon as the dancing started people were on the dance floor, wearing hats, laughing and having a blast.

Jeff listened to requests from the guests and was really able to read the crowd to draw energy out of them and to determine what kind of atmosphere to provide at our wedding. One of the first comments we heard from a friend on our wedding day was not “congratulations” but “your DJ is halarious”! Since coming back from our honeymoon and seeing our friends and family we have received comments like “Your DJ was amazing” “I had the most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding” “Your wedding was one of the best weddings we’ve ever been to – the DJ was so much fun!”

We couldn’t agree with our friends and family more – our wedding would not have been as well organized, fun or entertaining without DJ Haymaker.
